The Watershed Center maintains nearly 40 miles of trails annually in the South Fork Trinity River basin. Trail maintenance is a vital component of ecosystem protection and health that prevents soil erosion, environmental damage, and habitat destruction that pose serious threats to water quality, ecosystem health, and fish habitat. We work to maintain roads and trails through a variety of programs including our Field Crew, Hayfork Youth Conservation Crew and OHV programs. By doing this important work we strive to create local jobs, improve land stewardship ethics, and protect our natural resources.
