Indian Valley Summer Camp (IVSC) is a fun and educational outdoor summer camp designed to engage Trinity County’s youngest residents as they learn about their community and the forest that surrounds it. Serving youth ages 8-15, IVSC allows campers to experience the outdoors through a variety of educational activities that teach them about forestry, wildlife, Nor El Muk Wintu culture, and much more. Camp also offers a suite of empowering activities such as horseback riding, ropes courses, rafting, and backpacking. The IVSC program is made possible through the tireless contributions of volunteer presenters from natural resource professions, local schools, and cultural programs. These mentors expose campers to future career opportunities, instill a sense of community and active citizenship, and help our youth learn to love the place they live.

We work hard to make this program accessible to all youth, regardless of their economic situation. We need your help to ensure that this program continues. It costs $600 per camper to plan and run the camp. To sponsor a camper or contribute to the cost of an activity, donate below. We can also use donated materials, and we’re always interested in new volunteers! Any contribution you can make to IVSC is greatly appreciated. Contact Alicia to arrange material or volunteer contributions.
